EDSA Managerial Meeting June 5, 2009
On June 5, EDSA UNDIP once again held a managerial meeting, which according to EDSA's AD/ART is compulsory to be held at least once a month. The meeting was held in the Extension 3 room starting at 10 am to 3:30 pm. Unlike EDSA's previous managerial meeting which was held in a formal way and used English, the meeting on June 5 was held in a more fun way and used Bahasa Indonesia.
There was no obligation for EDSA's managers to wear UNDIP alma mater suit. Instead, the managers were required to wear a t-shirt in accordance with their respective department. The secretaries along with Communication and Information Division (Kominfo) wore green while the Treasurers and the Fund-Raising Division (Danus) wore black. The biggest department, Academic Empowerment Department (PA) that consists of Assistance, American Study Club, and Literature Club division, wore white while Student Resources Department (PSDM) and Interest and Talent Department (Mikat) wore blue and red respectively. The President, agreeing to wear what was left from the choice of color, at last wore orange.
The substance of the meeting on June 5 was also different from the previous ones. The managers were still required to deliver the report and planning of their work programs. However, what made the evaluation and planning session different was that it was not the head of the departments that presented the report and the planning but their 2008 staff. This way of presentation was done due to several considerations concerning regeneration. The evaluation and planning session once again showed EDSA's commitment and consistency. In addition to the fact that all departments could carry out their work programs in May and that internal situation was in a good shape, there were distinguished programs that they will carry out on June that marked the eminence of EDSA among other organizations in the Faculty of Humanities,
On this occasion, there were two additional activities never done before: personal sharing through ‘Talking from Heart to Heart’ activity and questionnaire about certain categories. The ‘Talking from Heart to Heart’ gave an opportunity to each managers to express their feeling toward a person they thought having the most impact on them. This activity eventually drew a closer relationship amongst EDSA’s managers and made them feel more like a family.
The other additional activity, the questionnaire, was given in the beginning of the meeting. Then the result was counted during the break and the final result was announced in the end of the meeting. This activity was aimed that each manager realized what roles they played in the social life and how the public perceived them. The final results of the questionnaire are:
